The term brush refers to devices with bristles, wire or other filaments, used for cleaning, grooming hair, make up making painting, deburring and other kinds of surface finishing, and for many other purposes.
Configurations include twisted-in wire (for example the brushes used to clean baby feeding bottles), cylinders, and disks (with bristles spread in one face or radially).
A common way of setting the bristle in the brush is the staple or anchor set brush, in which the filament is forced with a staple by the middle into a hole with a special driver and held there by the pressure against the walls of the hole and the portions of the staple nailed to the bottom of the hole. The staple can be substituted with a kind of anchor, which is a piece of rectangular profile wire that, instead of nailing itself to the bottom of hole, is anchored to the wall of the hole, like in most toothbrushes. Another way to attach the bristles to the surface can be found in the fused brush, in which instead of being inserted into a hole, a plastic fiber is welded to another plastic surface, giving the additional advantage of optionally using different diameters of tufts in the same brush, and a considerably thinner surface (sometimes the bristles can be set this way to the outer surface of a plastic bottle).

Multi-Purpose Siphon Feed DUAL-ACTION AIRBRUSH with AIR BRUSH COMPRESSOR KIT with Air HoseReviewsUppon arrival, the regulator on the air compressor was in non-working order. After placing a call to the supplier, a new one was quickly sent and has worked very well. This system is very easy to use and so far I have had out standing results. I use it to paint model car bodies. This setup has made a world of diffrence in the quality of the build ups. Everything hooks up very easily and can be running in about 5 to 10 minutes. I am a beginner at air brushing so it would be nice if the set up came with some sort of instruction manual. I was left guessing on the hook up but figured it out, however, I still have two parts that I am not sure what their use is. Over all I am satified with the product and the service of the supplier. I bought this airbrush for my son who has never used an airbrush before. 10 to 15 minutes after opening the package we had it together and were painting. He loves it! very easy to use and clean, lots of different attachments/paints available online or at the hobby stores. Excellent product for a great price! I bought this so i can learn to airbrush. this is great because it is small, portable, easy to hook up, and light-weight. the airbrush is perfect. i would DEFINITELY recommend this item to anyone who wants to airbrush. This set really hooks you up for immediate airbrushing! Dual action/internal mix airbrush, portable compressor, adjustable regulator & air hose; everything but the paint. This is my first airbrush and probably all I'll need for a while. A little advanced for my skill level, yet not intimidating & the company is very helpful, too. Average Rating:![]() |

Rust-Oleum 241140 Dry Erase Brush-On Kit, WhiteReviewsWe bought this product with the intention of providing my 5 year old with a surface she could draw and write on. At the same time we also bought the chalkboard paint. We painted each of her 2 closet doors, one with dry erase paint and one with chalkboard paint and what a difference! I followed the directions exactly and the end results couldn't be any more different. The dry erase surface is everything but erasable! We are extremely disappointed with the results. Save some time and $$ and either use the chalkboard paint or buy a REAL dry erase surface. I have sent the company an email to see what they have to say. Has anyone else done the same? If so, what was their response? I hate it when companies make false claims and mislead customers. Like others, I followed the instructions to the letter. Dry erase marker does NOT erase from this paint. Waste of time and money. I bought this paint after reading glowing reviews and applied it to a table we wanted to redo. We sanded down the table top and primed its surface. I left it alone for several days before applying the Rustoleum whiteboard paint. We managed to get four thin coats of paint on the table before our 2 hour window was gone. All seemed to have gone well. We waited a whole week before trying the paint just to make sure it cured. I let my kids doodle on the table and then we attempted to erase it. It didn't come off. A wet paper towel worked but not well. We tried cleaners too and they'd remove the markers for awhile but eventually they too quit working. Now I have this ugly cracked and yellowed table that we keep a table cloth over while we attempt to sand it down. Attempt being the keyword here because it's very very difficult to remove and the sanding is slow going even with an electric sander. To say we're disappointed with this product would be an understatement. I read the other reviews and decided to give this product a chance...It was a waste of my time. I wanted to rehab an old dry erase board that had become scratched over the years (but it's huge and has a solid oak frame and tray). I spent hours priming and sanding until my surface was smooth as glass. Then I applied the dry erase paint according to the directions. I thought things were going well until I checked on the board the following morning...the paint cracked! Now I'm back to square one! Bought this product the other day, and followed the directions completely: used the correct roller, put multiple coats on and let dry between each coat...but the results were terrible. IT DOES NOT WORK. The product does not wipe off at ALL.....had to use window cleaner and you can still see evidence of the dry-erase marker. What a waste of time, money and effort, and would not recommend this to anyone. Just spend the extra money for a Whiteboard. Now we have to re-paint our walls back to the original colour. RUST-OLEUM-Dry Erase Paint. First there was chalkboard paint and magnetic paint now they have introduced a dry erase paint. This would be great for a child's bedroom playroom or home office. It is described as a smooth hard finish that creates a unique white writeable/erasable surface... |

MASTER MODEL G23 Multi-Purpose Precision Gravity Feed DUAL-ACTION AIRBRUSH KitReviewsAfter using my single action airbrush, this took some getting used to. Adjusting the air and the paint at the same time has advantages over the single action. Also, having the paint container on the top allows for faster filling than on the bottom. I am just starting to learn how to do detail work but this airbrush will certainly do it. I tried my friend's $159 Badger airbrush and, while it is nice, does not do anything more than this one that I can tell. Average Rating:![]() |

Unfinished Cane / Walking Stick Solid White Ash WoodReviewsI'd look over the net for a cane and did not find what I was looking for. A simple but elegant cane. This cane allowed me to make the cane I wanted. I stained the cane unfinished a beautiful ebony pearl. I would have given it 5 stars but it came with gray rubber tip and I needed a black. Also don't know why its was so expensive to ship. Average Rating:![]() |

Brushes for cleaning
Brushes used for cleaning come in various sizes, such as very small brushes for cleaning a fine instrument, toothbrushes, the household version that usually comes with a dustpan, or the broomstick. Hallbrooms are even larger and are used for cleaning large areas. Cleaning brushes also include brushes for cleaning vegetables, cleaning the toilet, washing glass, finishing tiles, and sanding doors.
Paintbrushes
Paintbrushes are used for applying ink or paint. These are usually made by clamping the bristles to a handle with a ferrule.
Short handled brushes are for watercolor or ink painting while the long handled brushes are for oil or acrylic paint. The styles of brush tip seen most commonly are:
* Round: Long closely arranged bristles for detail
* Flat: For spreading paint quickly and evenly over a surface. They will have longer hairs than their Bright counterpart.
* Bright: Flat brushes with short stiff bristles, good for driving paint into the weave of a canvas in thinner paint applications, as well as thicker painting styles like impasto work.
* Filbert: Flat brushes with domed ends. They allow good coverage and the ability to perform some detail work.
* Fan: For blending broad areas of paint.
* Angle: Like the Filbert, these are versatile and can be applied in both general painting application as well as some detail work.
* Mop: A larger format brush with a rounded edge for broad soft paint application as well as for getting thinner glazes over existing drying layers of paint without damaging lower layers.
* Rigger: Round brushes with longish hairs, traditionally used for painting the rigging in pictures of ships. They are useful for fine lines and are versatile for both oils and watercolors.
